Employment contract and bank account: what to check before signing
The contract is the foundation of your visa, your salary and your rights. Read these clauses before signing, not after.

A written employment contract is the basis of the visa application. Check the job title, gross salary, weekly hours, probation period, contract duration, annual leave, and who pays for the adaptation course and language classes.
The title in the contract determines both pay and career path. It must match your recognition status.
A blocked account and a current account are different things. If your contract covers your living costs, a blocked account is often unnecessary — but the German mission in your country decides.
